Quick Joke:
What did one tampon say to the other?

Nothing, they're stuck up bitches!

That is my comic relief for the stressful week.

I went to a party last night. Got to dance. I think I will try and find clubs in the city where I can dance. That would be a lot of fun.

Tov, az lihitraot. Ani chayevet lalechet. Shalom!

Apologies
Yea, so I guess I did sound pissed about Adam Carolla's comments. I really don't care or take it personally. I actually found his schpeel kind of funny but I guess when I realized I was laughing about something that is near and dear to my heart I found myself a little sickened. But I guess it is "comic relief". People need to laugh about shitty situations otherwise we'd all end up killing ourselves over the horror that we are presented with each and every day.

On another note, Grogory Peck died today. That is really sad. I only saw his movie To Kill a Mockingbird and actually didn't really like it because it didn't seem that close to the book. Well, it's still sad because he was a very hot man.

The only other thing I want to say is how much I love my job. Haven't had this much fun at a job ever in my life. And it's not like I am there all day having fun. I am working hard but enjoying every minute. Now I know what people mean by finding something meaningful to devote their life to doing. I think I am a little closer to finding my purpose. Pretty cool eh?
Move the Jews to Baja California?

In his attempts to be funny, Adam Carolla from Loveline claimed he had the solution to the problem in the Middle East. Move the Jews to Baja. I know you are trying to be cute Adam but shaddup. I don't take your comments personally or seriously but the fact remains that we need real solutions not stupid jokes. Thanks though for getting laughs at the expense of people who are suffering.

The post following this one is not yet complete. I will finish it later when I am not at work. I'll have more time to form coherent thoughts. Thanks for your patience and please come back later to read the updated version!
There is a BIG difference

Everyone knew that when Hamas said it would avenge the attempts of killing one of their prominent leaders that would mean some kind of suicide attack or possibly shooting at Israelis while they slept quietly in their beds. But does the world not see the enormous difference between selectively targeting terrorists and killing innocent civilians? The bombing today in Jerusalem that killed 16 innocent human beings (that by no coincidence were Israeli Jews) was to avenge the attempted murdering of some piece of garbage terrorist that probably had plans to kill more innocent people. What is wrong with this world? Why can't you see the difference!? There is NO comparison of the killings done by Palestinians and those by the Israelis.

So some people claim that this is the only method that the Palestinians have to fight back. Excuse the crudeness when I say bullshit. That is the lamest excuse I have ever heard. That's all they could come up with to fight back? Killing innocent, defenseless people that are just at the wrong place at the wrong time? Killing people at discoteques, at bars, on buses, at malls, even targeting schools. But they have training camps where they learn to fight and get to wear cool uniforms and use weapons (they often claim they don't have comparable weapons and that's why they throw stones, but I can assure you this is just an attempt to get the sympathy of the world...is it working on you?). They have the means to fight like soldiers so why don't they fight the Israeli soldiers? So your answer might be because they don't stand a chance, they will die. Hmmmm...well last I checked they die when they carry out a suicide bombing and unfortunately there have been successful murderings of soldiers on many occasions. If they want to show that they are resisting the occupation why don't they go after the ones that are standing guard everywhere (that's the soldiers)? Why?

Now the world can come up with a million explanations to "justify" the murdering of all these innocent lives but remember this, the world will have to live with the consequences if they ignore the warnings signs again of attempts to wipe Israel off the map. If Israel goes, so does the six million Jews that live there. Hmmm....six million Jews...

And while I am here blogging. I need to take a moment to thank God for an angel he has put on this Earth and blessed me in finding. To my one and only reader of this blog, Laura. She called me from Bolivia not once, but twice that sweet heart. Oh and that doesn't include the many phonecalls she made to chase me down. I love her. I love her. I am declaring my undying love for her. (BTW- she knows I am not a lesbian but if I were I would still love her) Love love love her. She's so wonderful and patient and understanding and accepting and beautiful and...well...an angel. I love you Laura! Thank you for being such a true friend to me through everything. Words can't describe how lucky I feel to have met you and be loved and understood by you. Now get your butt back here!
BTW! It worked!!! Look at the ads now! It says Colon Cancer treatment and Persistant Asthma! This is great! :)
Well, I finally checked my grades. I had been putting it off for over a week out of fear. How sad really that this is what scares me. Well, I am not being 100% honest. There are a lot of things that scare and/or worry me: war, cancer, death and change to name the top few. But those things are out of my control really. There is just something about checking grades that is so nerve-racking. It is the moment of truth. Everytime I go to check them, my heart begins to race and I can feel it pounding. In college you can have a vague idea as to what grade you got but since the final is usually worth so much, it can be difficult to assess how you did. So, I checked my grades. I won't reveal how I did but lets just say it was satisfactory. Should have done better but should've, could've, would've...who cares it's over! Yay!

This was, by far, the strangest semester I have had at Berkeley. So many things happened to me. The most important being that I woke up to the world around me. I have to be honest that there are parts I wish I could redo, but on the whole, even though it was a rather emotional semester, I learned so much (and I am not talking about in class..screw classes). I read outside of class which was something I used to never make time for. I caught myself walking around campus reading (Laura you have to be proud of me). Things are a little brighter today than they were yesterday and my life is certainly story worthy after this semester. From the ghetto that is my apartment in Berkeley, to the interesting people I have interacted with, to the new experiences that were had...it was fun. But thank God it's over and I am safe at home where I can relax and let someone else do the cooking.

A word on the infamous Michael Savage

A lot of my friends are probably shocked and/or skeptical about my fascination of Dr. Michael Savage. So to clear things up a bit let me give you a quick history as to how I found him and why I enjoy listening to his radio show. After my freshman year in college, I stayed in Berkeley to do summer school. I didn't realize when I signed up that I would basically be all alone in Berkeley for 2 months. I became quite lonely and thus started to listen to talk radio. And so it began. Before then I listened to just Howard in the morning and occasionally Loveline in the evening. During those months I became familiar with Michael Savage, Dr. Dean Edel, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Dr. Bill Wattenberg, Pete Wilson (not the former governor of Cali), Bernie Ward (bleh), Ronn Owens, and Jean Burns. Later on I found Sean Hannity who I just adore. So out of all those choices how did I become fascinated with Michael Savage? Well one main reason was his time slot. He is on from 4-7pm and that was usually when I went walking around. By default I listened to him more than others. Don't get me wrong, at first I was outraged by the things he said. I thought he was a sexist, racist, crazyman. So why did I keep listening? Well...for the same reason I occasionally listen to the liberal piece of garbage Bernie Ward. I wanted to give him a chance. Over time, I found myself learning a lot from Savage. People will argue with me that he doesn't know what he is talking about but that is simply not true. He is not only severely intelligent, he is well educated. He is difficult to take in large doses because he gets pretty pissed off. But he is also really funny with his little fake interviews and things. He is quite clever. And maybe most people don't realize this but he has written a ton of books mostly on nutrition and herbs.

I read his latest book. I don't really recommend it because it's a lot like his show so if you haven't ever listened to him, I would suggest first listening and then possibly reading the book.

As for the other radio talk show hosts. Dr. Bill Wattenberg is terrific! He is a scientist and has been involved with some of the craziest lab research during his lifetime. People call in with scientific questions and he answers them on the spot. It's amazing and educational. He is hard to find because I think he only substitutes these days but he's worth it if you can find him. I definitely don't recommend Bernie Ward. He is a radical liberal piece of garbage. Not worth your time to listen to his yapping especially since he's on so late at night.
Beware! If I were to kill someone, apparently I'd shoot them (although don't you need a gun for that??)

Shoot them
You'd shoot them
