Made it here safely after spending about a million hours flying. Ok, so I am exaggerating but still. I arrived at about 2pm on tuesday. We were herded off to Jerusalem and on a walk if you can believe it. No shower, no break, straight to this place where you could see the beautiful view...shit. I wish I remember what it was called. Well, one cool thing was I could see part of the controversial wall that is being built from that site. The sunset was amazing! Later, we went to the Western Wall. I have been there before, but this was the first time I went into the Western Wall tunnels. The excavated around the wall to discover more of it!

Today we went to Mount Herzl and took a tour around there. Of course we also went to Yad Vashem a Holocaust Memorial Museum. I have been there before and it never gets easier to go through it.

Anyway, I heard that there was a bombing today. *sigh*

I am soo tired still. Which is probably why this post is kind of boring. I am really tired actually, and there are people watching as I type (how rude).

Next time I post, it will be more interesting. I am having a lot of fun though! Even if they are treating us like we are 7 years old. *sigh*

So Happy

If only you could feel what I am feeling right now in my heart. This intense excitement and happiness to be going to Israel. It has been 2 long years since I was last there. I have ached to go because I not only miss my family dearly but also so much has happened and changed and I want to be there with the people.

I am going for 3 weeks. I am not sure how much internet access I will have (and time) but when I do blog, I will let you in on what I am up to. I am going on an organized trip for the first 10 days. After that, my mom and I will be in Tel Aviv and travelling around to see family. I can't wait. I can't wait.

Alright, I must continue cleaning and packing! My next post will be from Israel!

Yep, I leave in 36 hours to Israel. I am nowhere near ready to go! Yikes. Tomorrow is going to be a very long day. So many errands. I will try not to stress. I will try to sleep. I am SOOOOOOO excited! If anyone knows of something I must not forget to bring with me to Israel, please comment it! I don't want to forget anything important.

Even in my own High School

The title of the article : Palo Alto school hit in latest case of swastika graffiti

Read the article here

Exerpts from the article:

A classroom at Palo Alto High School that was defaced last week with swastikas and what was intended to be a slur joins a growing list of similarly targeted property around the Bay Area.

A pair of synagogues in San Francisco and Redwood City, two East Bay neighborhoods and a Marin hillside are among the sites that have been hit with the Nazi hate symbol over the past several months

Thanks to Jen for bringing this to my attention.
